I released Brettrix 1.1 today, and also launched the new Brettrix website, Corko's Cosmos. Brettrix 1.1 has the two features which many people were asking for - ability to use arrow keys to move the pieces, and the ability to speed up the current piece without immediately dropping it. You can also now submit your high scores to be part of the global high score lists on Corko's Cosmos.
In other news, the last meeting of the Java Users Group was quite a bit bigger than usual - there were so many people I didn't get a chance to meet them all. That might have something to do with the fact that I didn't manage to find my way into Dymocks until it was almost over. Anyhow, it's looking promising... for the first time ever most of the people there knew Java.
I'm looking forward to the upcoming Apple Developer Seminar - the first NZ event in my memory which is hosted by Apple rather than Renaissance. We did manage to get some real Apple people at the developers' conference last year though.
But wait, there's more! At the insistence of Rob Rix I have started visiting CocoaDev regularly. Now that I'm finding the site useful, I've added a link to it in the 'Links for developers' column on this site.

I released Brettrix 1.0.1 today, which makes it easier to change the keys for controlling the game, and also adds another picture and version history to the About box. I've packaged it as a StuffIt archive this time as people had problems downloading and mounting the disk image.
