You might have thought it was a long time since my previous update, but that's peanuts to this one! I've since moved from Switzerland to Austria, lived there for ten years, then moved to the USA and lived there for almost a year.

In Austria I not only met a lot of Cocoa developers at CocoaHeads meetups, I also finally got day jobs working on macOS and then iOS. I quit my most recent one to move to the US, and have not yet found work here, but I have been hanging out with like-minded developers at Seattle Xcoders, and seen James Dempsey perform in person two more times (the only previous time being at WWDC 2004, as you time-travellers from the distant past know), with another coming up!

Anyway, now I'm getting all my old websites to work again, just for old times' sake, but what are you still doing here? At the current rate of exponential backoff, I won't update this site again for another 481 years. I hardly do web dev any more; I just use Wordpress so I can focus on the content. You can find my blog at Angelastic.com and a sparser, more 'professional' site for my software at Spondee.Software (yep, there's even a 'software' TLD now. Isn't the future neat? I also have Rhyme.Science from when I last did an appreciable amount of web dev, nearly ten years ago.)

It's been a long time since my last update. To be honest, it's been a long time since I last did any Cocoa development, although I did go to the 2005 Apple Expo in Paris. At the end of March 2005 I moved to Geneva to work for CERN, and as far as I know I'm the only Cocoa developer in the entire canton. However, I have met Marc Liyanage from Zurich, and I know there are a few Cocoa developers in nearby Lausanne.

I'm currently back in NZ for a holiday, which is why I have time to update this... and I'll be bringing back plenty of chocolate fish to remind myself what this site's official mascot tastes like.
