Brettrix Preferences - Gameplay
There are many gameplay options in Brettrix, and you can make as many option sets as you like and have a separate high score list for each. You can choose how many bricks fit on the screen horizontally and vertically, how many bricks there can be in each piece, and the game speed. The options shown are in the 'Classic' options set which ships with Brettrix, but there is plenty of scope for easier, harder, faster, or generally more bizarre games.
The game window is freely resizeable, which gives a lot of power to be silly. For a truly perception-twisting game, try making the ratio of width to height of the playing area drastically different from that of the window - the bricks will not be square so the shapes of the game pieces will distort as you rotate them. But don't worry - if you prefer square bricks you can always click on the zoom button in the title bar to resize the window to an appropriate size and shape. Another fun variation is allowing up to 40 bricks per piece. It makes it almost impossible to complete lines, but it's fun to look at the strange shaped pieces and think about what they look like. Kind of like gazing at clouds. Click on a tab in the picture to see other preferences, or scroll down for text links. Keys | Display Scoring
